WASHINGTON – The U.S. Treasury Department has designated for sanctions a Malaysia-based ticketing agent that does business with Iranian airline Mahan Air, which the department accuses of supporting terrorism.

Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced the designation of Mahan Travel and Tourism of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 9. The action blocks all property and property interests the company has within U.S. jurisdiction, the department said.
